St. Mary’s School Development
in phases

Following is the breakdown of the four phases of The St. Mary’s School Project: Land Acquisition, Minimal Construction, Full Construction, and Operation & Maintenance.

All costs in phase II, III, and IV are estimated only. They might change due to unexpected situation during development. However, the KSF team will try to negotiate with local builders and providers to get the best price possible.

At this moment in time, St Mary’s school has completed Phase I.

I: Land Acquisition

Firve acres of land were purchased thanks to a donation of $26K and some loan. Another twelve acres of land were purchased after that. And as recently as at the beginning of 2026, another 1.8 ac of land were purchased. Totally, 18.8 ac. of land plus grading cost is $250K. This phase is now complete and paid for.

II: Min. Development

Build a small school of 10 classrooms, 2 restrooms and 2 dorms. This phase is subdivided into 2 phases 2A and 2B. When phase 2A is done, the school can start functioning immediately. Estimated cost for phase 2A = $231K, 2B = $341K, total = $573K.

III: Full Development

Build 10 more classrooms, an Admin block, a 3-unit staff quarters, 2 dorms, 2 restrooms, and a playground. Once done, this St Mary’s school will be issued the certificate from the government to function as a Model School. It’s worth to mention that 5% of labor for the whole project are from the volunteers. Estimated cost = $705K.

IV: Operation & Maintenance

Build a 3-story structure for the clergy and leadership of the school. Phase IV’s estimated cost is $221K. After that St Mary’s school can operate and maintain by itself since parents will volunteer to raise some livestock or grow something to generate income for the school.
